Dishes Restaurants Should Serve
Here's new dishes we wish Seattle would serve.

Bacon-Chocolate Cake:  We all know the yarn that everything taste better with bacon.  Compare to chocolate covered pretzels, which tantalizes both the sweet and salty taste buds.   Then, just imagine how much outta-this-world a chocolate  & bacon combo taste?  You'd need to eat celery for a week to recover from the cholesterol spike, but it'd still be worth it.

Fois Gras Hamburger: Putting aside the ethical dimension of fois gras, there's no doubt that it's dreamingly rich and succulent.  Problem is, restaurants think small, only dishing this out small, about the size of five stacked silver dollars.  It's time to move this dish from the appetizer to the entree side of the menu.  What they really need to do is serve a hamburger size patty of this, something to really bite into and send the eyes rolling into the back of the head.  Since it's a patty, they might as well serve it as a hamburger then.  This would be one hamburger worth mortgaging the house for.

Really exotic meats:  Every restaurant serves chicken, pork, and steak; some restaurants serve buffalo, ostrich, veal, or venison.  Restaurants should really advance beyond these namby-pampy meats and move into something really odd, story-worthy meats like snake, eel, boar, kangaroo, alligator, or turtle.  Of course, it's all still going to taste like chicken.  For the home chef willing to make this leap, try Seattle Exotic Meats.
